Julie Miller first started playing violin in 1995, studying privately with violinist Virginia Herrmann. She has been a member of Temple, Settlement, and Mainline Chamber Orchestras and has served as Concert Master in the Strings International Music Festival youth orchestra as well as the Drexel University Orchestra. She has also played for several orchestral accompaniments for musicals such as Les Miserables, West Side Story, Pippin, Into the Woods, Ragtime, Blood Brothers, and Beauty and the Beast. She graduated from Drexel University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering and from Temple University in 2012 with a Master’s in Bioengineering. She continues to play violin with String Theory trio as well as Old York Road Symphony and other local ensembles.
